Judy Barberich, CFRE, has 10 years experience in higher education institutional advancement. She worked in the Office of Institutional Advancement at DeSales University as the Executive Director of Development and the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations. While at DeSales, Judy was involved in two major capital campaigns. She supervised major gift officers and ensured the proper identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for alumni, community individuals, and corporate donors. She also identified and prepared proposals to corporations and foundations for funding capital projects, endowment, scholarships, and student support services.
Prior to her work at DeSales, Judy was Director of Corporate Communications for AAA East Penn. In that capacity, she was responsible for the marketing and public affairs communications, quality and brand management standards, and traffic safety and community service programs.
Judy is a graduate of Marywood University, with a B.A. degree in English and secondary education. She also has a Master’s degree (M.S.) in Education from Temple University. She earned her CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) in 2011, and in 2012, received the designation of “Certified Grant Writer” from the American Grant Writer’s Association. She is an active member of the Allentown Rotary Club, a past Rotary president, and a member of the Board for over 8 years. She is currently on the Board of the St. John Vianney Regional School in Allentown and chairs the development committee.
