Marcella Moyer Schick, MA, CAP®, ACFRE

President and Owner

 Marci has over 35 years of experience in fundraising and constituent relations in higher education, healthcare and human services. She has extensive experience in developing major and planned gifts and in capital and endowment campaigns. Marci also is skilled in strategic planning, team leadership, communications, and creating partnerships and programs for donor cultivation, organizational visibility and fund development. As president and owner of MMS Advancement Associates LLC, Marci is responsible for providing strategic direction to the organization as well as managing day-to-day operations and client relations. 

Prior to becoming a consultant, Marci was vice president of institutional advancement at Phoebe Ministries where she was responsible for all aspects of fundraising and community relations. She also served as assistant vice president for development and director of alumni relations and the annual fund at Muhlenberg College and director of development at Miller-Keystone Blood Center. 

Marci was the 87th person to receive the designation Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive (ACFRE). She also earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) credential through the American College and is licensed in Pennsylvania as a Standards for Excellence® consultant. She is an Association of Fundraising Professionals master teacher. In 2009, Marci was named the Outstanding Fundraising Executive by the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. 

Marci has been involved in the Association of Fundraising Professionals on the international level, serving on the Association’s Next Generation Committee and the International Fundraising Conference Advisory Committee. Active in the community, Marci is a past president of the Allentown Rotary Club. She is a member of the Boards of Associates of the Lehigh Valley Health Network and Muhlenberg College and has served on numerous nonprofit boards across the Lehigh Valley.
